Vitis californica

California Wild Grape: CA native deciduous vine or groundcover with tendrils and woody stems to 20' or more. Large round green leaves turn yellow or orange in the fall. Tiny, fragrant, inconspicuous green, cream or yellow flowers in late spring are followed by tasty small grapes with large pits. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, wildlife and pollinators. Great for cut flower arrangements. Full sun to part shade. Low to high water. Seacoast, heat, clay, sand, bog and drought tolerant once established. Tolerates rabbit and deer grazing. Gopher and fire resistant.
