Vaccinium ovatum

Huckleberry: Evergreen California native plant spreads by underground stems. Can grow 4-5' tall and wide, or more. Small pinkish flowers mature to edible and delectable dark fruits in fall. Part sun to part shade with medium water.  Hummingbird and pollinator friendly. Fire and deer resiatant. Drought tolerant once established.
