Thamnocalamus aristatus

Pea Stick Bamboo: Forming erect, narrow thickets, this rare clumping bamboo has slender stems that are openly branched, growing 8-15' tall. The lower stems are yellowish-green. They take on an attractive reddish cast in the sun. Makes a good hedge. Full sun to part shade, medium water. Deer and fire resistant. Good in containers.
