Sonchus canariensis

Tree Sonchus: Tall, upright growing, semi-evergreen shrub or small tree to 6-8' tall with unusual 12-18" long deeply cleft pinnate, fern-like leaves. In the springtime, massive 4' wide lemon-yellow dandelion-like flowers rise above the foliage on stout stems. Second bloom in summer is not unusual. Full sun to part shade. Drought tolerant once established. Attracts bees and pollinators.
