Bee Plant: CA native. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. 1/2” maroon flowers on 3-5’ tall plant with small red flowers on spikes March through June. Attracts native bees and hummingbirds, Buckeye and Checkerspot butterflies. The seed capsules feed small birds. Spreads by rhizomes. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Evergreen. Tolerates clay.
