Salvia 'Amistad'

Friendship Sage: Fast-growing evergreen shrub 3-5' tall x 4-6' wide with mildly fragrant foliage. Has a nearly continuous display of massive, velvety royal-purple flowers set against nearly black calyces from summer through fall. Needs a sheltered position. Good in containers and for cut flowers. Attracts butterflies, pollinators and hummingbirds. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Seacoast, heat, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
