Rusty Sage, Lance-leaf Sage, or Cape of Good Hope Sage: Slow growing, woody evergreen shrub to 4-5' tall and wide with small, pointy, grey green, hairy, aromatic leaves that can be used for flavoring, and distinctive rusty-rose colored flowers from late spring-fall, followed by persistant brown seed pods. Attracts birds, hummingbirds and pollinators. Full sun to part sun. Low water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
