Salvia elegans

Pineapple sage: Red tubular flowers from late summer through fall. Fragrant and edible pineapple scented leaves. Full sun to part sun. A hummingbird fave. Cut back to 12" tall in the winter, it will return and become a 4-5' tall x 3' wide shrub. Low to medium water. Gopher and deer resistant. Makes good tea.
