Salvia apiana

White Sage: Evergreen CA native sage 3-4' tall and wide with large, silvery-white, aromatic leaves and tall lavender tinged white flower stalks that rise 24" or more above the foliage. Useful for sunny, dry areas with good drainage. Used in smudge bundles as a natural incense. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, bees and pollinators. Full sun. Low water. Seacoast, wind, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
