Arroyo Willow: CA native deciduous tree common in riparian zones throughout the state. Fast growing to about 10-20′ tall and 10' wide (or more). The flower is a yellowish catkin that becomes a fluffy white mass of seeds. Usually multi-stemmed, thicket forming, with whitish-grey bark. Attracts hummingbirds, birds and pollinators. Full sun. Medium to high water. Seacoast, wind, heat, bog, clay and sand tolerant.
