Rubus parviflorus

Thimbleberry: CA native deciduous shrub with large, pale green, soft velvety leaves 4-6' tall and wide. Small clusters of white single flowers in spring and early summer followed by thimble-shaped mild-flavored edible berries in summer. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, and pollinators. Medium water. Full sun to part shade. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay, sand, and drought tolerant once established.
