Rosa (Rose) 'Altissimo'

Altissimo Climbing Rose: Easy to grow, disease resistant climbing rose. Produces many long stemmed, lightly fragrant, single petaled velvety red flowers 4-5" wide that bloom almost all season. Perfect for cutting. To 9’ high with bright red leaf buds, and dark green leaves that feature attractive red veining on new growth. Produces useful rose hips. Atttracts hummingbirds, birds, bees, and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Wind, heat, clay sand and drought tolerant once established but prefers occasional moisture. Relatively deer resistant (but not reliably), and fire resistant.
