Roldana (Senecio) petasitis

Velvet Groundsel: Sprawling, multi-branching, rare evergreen shrub 8-10' tall and wide with large 8" velvety soft, roundish leaves. Deep burgundy colored flower buds become clusters of 1/2" yellow daisy flowers in spring. Attracts butterflies and pollinators. Full sun to part sun. Medium water. Seacoast and drought tolerant once established but looks best with occasional irrigation. Deer resistant.
