Roldana (Senecio) petasitis

Velvet Groundsel: Sprawling, multi-branching, rare evergreen shrub 8-10' tall and wide with large 8" velvety soft, roundish leaves. Deep burgundy colored flower buds become clusters of fragrant 1/2" yellow daisy flowers in spring. Good for cut flowers. Attracts butterflies and pollinators. Full sun to part sun. Medium water. Seacoast, heat and drought tolerant once established but looks best with occasional irrigation. Deer resistant.
