Ribes speciosum 'Rana Creek'

Fuchsia Flowered Gooseberry: Wickedly spiny CA Native shrub with arching stems reaching 4-6 feet tall. Deciduous, with small leaves that disappear in summer unless the plant is well-watered. Leaves return during rainy season. 'Rana Creek' is a particularly nice selection with a profusion of bright red blossoms winter and early spring. Clay drought tolerant once established. Low water, full sun to part shade.
