Red Flowering Currant: Fast-growing CA native shrub that is distinctive for its pendulous racemes of reddish-pink or rose-pink flowers in spring and produces waxy, blue-black berries in the summer. 8-10' tall and wide. Part sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Bird, bee, and hummingbird favorite. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher and fire resistant.
