Ribes malvaceum 'Dancing Tassels'

Chaparral Currant: Winter blooming deciduous CA native shrub to 6' tall or more. This variety is more sun tolerant and also has especially long dangling flower clusters. Pink buds and pinkish white flowers. Gray-green foliage has a pungent resinous fragrance. Peeling red-brown bark and clusters of blue-black berries. Full sun to part shade, low water needs. Deer and gopher resistant. Hummingbird favorite.
