Puya mirabilis

Bolivian Puya: Fast-growing, clumping, rosette forming, grass-like terrestrial bromeliad 2' tall x 3' wide with silvery-green, spiny, toothed, arching leaves and large, chartreuse to pale yellow-green funnel-shaped flowers on tall, stiff spikes that rise 2' above the foliage. Attracts hummingbirds and pollinators. Great in containers and for cut flowers. Full sun to part sun. Low water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
