Potentilla gracilis

Slender Cinquefoil, Graceful Cinquefoil: CA native herb from the mountains with prolific, bright yellow flowers that resemble buttercups. Blossoms borne on 2' stems appear in spring through fall, and are held above low mats of dissected, dark green leaves. Native to mountainous areas throughout California. All parts edible and/or medicinal. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. May reseed if happy. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, bees, butterflies and pollinators. Seacoast, wind and sand tolerant. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
