Phormium cookianum 'Black Adder'

Black New Zealand Flax: Evergreen perennial with deep red/purple foliage. Grows to 3-4' tall x 2-3' wide. Full sun to part shade, medium water. Fire, deer, rabbit, and gopher resistant. Great in containers. Seacoast, clay, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional irrigation.
