Phlomis fruticosa

Jerusalem Sage: A large, multi-stemmed, evergreen shrub that grows around 4' tall and wide with soft woolly-gray leaves. Bright lemon-yellow flowers from spring through summer. The flowers have a pleasant clove-like aroma that is particularly strong in the late afternoon. Plant in full sun to light shade. Low water needs. Drought tolerant, deer resistant. Great for seacoast and windy conditions. Easy to grow.
