Oxalis oregana 'Smith River'

White Redwood Sorrel: Easy to grow, evergreen CA native clover-like rhizomatic groundcover that forms a beautiful dense carpet. It typically grows in deep shade beneath redwood trees in moist coastal forests. Each leaf is divided into three 3/4” heart-shaped leaves with dark olive green tops and purple-red undersides to the leaves. Tiny star-shaped white flowers with thin pink rise above the foliage lines from spring to fall. Good in containers and flower arrangements. Part shade to shade. Medium to high water. Seacoast, sand, clay, bog and drought tolerant, but prefers regular irrigation. Deer, rabbit, and fire resistant.
