Neoregelia 'Maria'

Evergreen rare bromeliad 10-12" tall x 14-16" wide. Brilliant, 2" wide, strap-like leaves with shades of red to deep red. Medium water. Great for growing in containers in well draining soil. Grown primarily as a house plant but can grow outdoors in mild climates with part sun to part shade, or indirect, bright and filtered light. Protect from cold. Moderately drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional water and high humidity. Seacoast and heat tolerant. Deer, rabbit, and gopher resistant.
