Morella (Myrica) californica

Pacific Wax Myrtle: CA native evergreen shrub or small tree to 20' tall (or more) by 16' wide. Small, inconspicuous yellowish-green to reddish flowers in spring. Attracts hummingbirds, birds and pollinators. Good for containers and for cut flowers. Full sun to part sun. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established, but appreciates some summer water. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
