Muhlenbergia emersleyi

Bull Grass: An evergreen, dense CA native clumping grass with soft blue-green foliage. 2-3' tall and wide, with a smaller and more dense habit than Deer Grass (Muhlenbergia rigens) and with slightly wider leaves that arch over gracefully. Wispy, open, dark purple flower spikes in early summer to fall. Full sun to part sun. Low water. Heat, wind, clay, sand and drought tolerant. Deer and rabbit resistant. Attracts birds.
