California Monkeyflower: Evergreen Shrub. Orange, trumpet shaped blooms from late summer to autumn. Nice border plant. Prune periodically to keep plant shapely. Native to California and Oregon. Larval food source for the common checkerspot and buckeye butterflies. Attracts hummingbirds. 2-3' tall x 2-3' wide. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Deer, gopher, rabbit, and fire resistant. Seacoast, heat, wind, clay, sand and drought tolerant once established.
