Michelia 'Stellar Ruby' PPAF

Magnolia x 'Stellar Ruby', Banana Shrub: A controlled cross of Magnolia figo var. skinneriana x Magnolia crassipies (dark purple clone). Different from other banana shrub Magnolia figo types with its narrow, dense pyramidal growth habit, and free blooming ruby colored, highly fragrant flowers, and dark, glossy green leaves. Blooms in the spring and summer. Can grow 12-15 feet tall x 6' wide but can be easily maintained at 6-8' tall. Fast growing, evergreen. Part sun to part shade. Seacoast and deer resistant, heat and drought tolerant once established.
