Lobelia laxiflora

Mexican Bush Lobelia, Mexican Cardinal Flower: An upright, trailing evergreen perennial form of Lobelia that grows 2-3' tall x 3-4' wide. Spreads by runners. The flowers are orange with red spots in the middle. Good for containers and for cut flowers. Long bloom season. Attracts, birds, hummingbirds and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, bog, heat and drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional irrigation. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
