Mexican Bush Lobelia, Mexican Cardinal Flower: An upright, trailing perennial form of Lobelia that grows 2-3' tall x 3-4' wide. Spreads by runners. Good for borders & containers. The flower is orange with red spots in the middle. Good for cut flower. Long bloom season. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Attracts, birds, hummingbirds and pollinators. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, bog, heat and drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional irrigation. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
