Western Blue Flax: Ubiqutous CA and western native plant with prolific blooms of small sky-blue, five petaled cupped flowers in late spring and into summer. 12-18" tall with slender stems and narrow leaves. Can be short lived but often reseeds. Great filler perennial. Full sun. Low to medium water. Deer resistant. Heat and drought tolerant once established. Pollinator favorite. Does not do well in clay soils.
