New Zealand Satin Flower: Grass-like evergreen in the iris family with erect, narrow strap-like leaves. 30" tall and wide with white, orchid like flowers that rise above the foliage from spring to fall, followed by comspicuous seed pods. Tidy. tough, long lived, and low maintenance. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, and drought tolerant once established, but appreciates occasional irrigation. Great in containers. Attracts butterflies and pollinators. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
