Leucadendron 'Red Gem'

Red Gem Leucadendron: Evergreen, bushy shrub 4-5 feet tall and wide. Green leaves along the stems with modified leaf bracts that resemble flower sepals at the terminal points of the branches. Shimmering leaves are accentuated by fine silvery hairs. In late summer, the plant takes on a bronzy appearance. Full sun to part sun. Low to medium water. Good for containers and cut flowers. Attracts birds, hummingbirds and bees. Seacoast, wind, sand, clay, heat and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant.
