Leucadendron argenteum

Silver Tree: A strikingly beautiful rare evergreen shrub or tree with silky, shimmering, lenceolate silvery foliage and grey bark. Narrow, upright growth to 15-25' tall leaves. Fast growing but relatively short lived (to 20 years) Fragrant flowers that are not exceptionally showy. Full sun with very good drainage and only occasional summer water. Great coastal plant that tolerates wind. Clay, sand and drought tolerant once established. Deer resistant.
