Bay Laurel, Sweet Bay: A more compact sweet bay, only 6-8' tall with aromatic, deep green foliage on unique red-tinged stems. Dried leaves add flavor to soups and sauces. Easy-care upright shrub or small tree. Full to part sun, Low to medium water. Handsome in natural form, or easily clipped into a formal hedge or topiary shape. Thrives in containers. Evergreen.  syn.
