Velvet Elephant Ear: Slow growing evergreen succulent tree-like shrub that can eventually grow 12' tall and wide though is usually much smaller. Thick stems and large, undulated and folded, olive-green, slightly-triangular fuzzy and soft leaves. A great sculptural accent in a large pot. Eventually produces pink buds that can become greenish yellow flowers in winter. Full coastal sun to part shade. Low water. Frost tender. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
