Aniseseed Tree: Rare aromatic evergreen shrub with large, showy, exotic looking burgundy star-shaped flowers, Native to the marshy areas of Florida and Georgia. To 6-10’ tall and wide with fragrant leaves that release a spicy anise scent when crushed. Intricate multi-petaled red flowers in late Spring become star-shaped fruits. Easy to grow, part shade to shade. Medium water. Deer resistant.
