Vaccinium 'Native Star'

California Huckleberry: CA native evergreen shrub that produces edible deep blue or black berries in fall. Upright, compact form grows slowly to about 6' tall, glossy green small leaves.  Spring new growth is burgundy. Will grow sun or shade. Produces more berries in sun, but will need supplemental watering. Pink flowers. Hummingbird and bee favorite. Fire and deer resistant.
