Hakea petiolaris

Sea Urchin Hakea: A fast growing upright evergreen shrub or small tree from 10' to 18' tall with reddish stems holding 2 to 4" long pale gray-green leaves. From Fall to Spring the tree produces tiny green and white flowers that turn pink and cream as they open, followed by interesting tight clusters of small irregularly shaped woody fruit. Full sun, medium water.  Drought tolerant.
