Geranium maderense

Madeira Island Geranium: Giant biennial geranium with large coarsely dissected leaves that are attractive even when not in bloom. 4' tall and wide with huge masses of deep pink flowers with dark purple eyes in spring. Attracts birds, hummingbirds and pollinators. Great indoors or out, in containers or for cut flowers. Part sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay, sand and drought tolerant once established.  Deer, gopher, rabbit, and fire resistant.
