Coffeeberry: This selection is a native plant from Glen Canyon in San Francisco. If left unpruned can eventually grow to 7' tall x 10 feet wide. It has clusters of small, greenish yellow blossoms are fragrant but inconspicuous. The large berries which follow and persist into winter are showy, tinged with red or purple, or black when mature. Coffeeberry is adaptable and useful in a variety of landscape settings according to size and shape. Sun or light shade, many soils, occasional summer watering when established. Good for wildlife and our local pollinators.
