Beach or Sand Strawberry. Perennial: this species of strawberry grows wild in coastal North and South America. It is also one of the parents of modern strawberries; forms a nice lush, compact mat and spreads by runners. Bloom color: white. Growth; 8-12 inches tall by 18 inches wide.  USDA Z4
