Fragaria chiloensis 'Aulon'

Aulon Beach Strawberry: Evergreen CA coastal native with shiny dark green foliage that blush red in winter and exceptionally large white flowers. 4-8" tall by 18" wide. Spreads by runners to form dense carpets. Adaptable to a wide range of climates and conditions. In spring, 1” flowers are followed by red fruits. Attracts birds and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, heat and drought tolerant along the coast. Deer, gopher and fire resistant.
