Eschscholzia californica 'Thai Silk Fire Bush'

Thai Silk Fire Bush California Poppy: CA native annual or short lived perennial with red flowers and yellow centers from spring-summer. 12" tall and wide. Full sun, low to medium water. Attracts birds, butterflies and bees. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant. Foliage dies back to the ground at the end of the season but can regrow and reseed. Roots are sometimes used medicinally in teas and tinctures.
