Eschscholzia californica ssp 'maritima'

Coastal Form California Poppy: CA native evergreen perennial with distintive, mildew resistant, small divided blue-grey leaves and golden yellow flowers with orange centers from spring-fall. 10" tall and wide. Full sun, low to medium water. Attracts birds, butterflies and bees. Foliage dies back to the ground at the end of the season but can regrow and reseed. Roots are sometimes used medicinally in teas and tinctures. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant.
