Eschscholzia californica ssp 'maritima'

Coastal Form California Poppy: CA native evergreen perennial with distintive, mildew resistant, small divided blue-grey leaves and golden yellow flowers with orange centers from spring-fall 10" tall and wide. Attracts birds, butterflies and bees. Foliage dies back to the ground at the end of the season but can regrow and reseed. More  dependably perennnial than other varieties. Roots are sometimes used medicinally in teas and tinctures. Full sun, low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant.
