Eschscholzia californica 'Mahogany Red'

Mahogany Red California Poppy: CA native annual or short lived perennial with deep-red flowers from spring-summer 12" tall and wide. Foliage dies back to the ground at the end of the season but can regrow and reseed. Roots are sometimes used medicinally in teas and tinctures. Attracts birds, butterflies and bees. Full sun, low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant.
