Eriogonum grande var. rubescens

Red Buckwheat: Evergreen CA native. Forms a low, dense mound of attractive grey spoon shaped leaves 1’ tall x 3’ wide. Magenta flowers from June-October. Full sun to part sun. Low to medium water. Attracts butterflies, bees, and pollinators. Excellent for massing on dry hillsides. Deer, gopher and fire resistant. Clay, wind, seacoast, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established.
