Purple Hopseed Bush: Evergreen rapid growing shrub, hedge, or small tree to 12-16' tall x 8-12' wide with purple-burgundy foliage. Tiny, inconspicuous green flowers attract birds and pollinators and are followed by pretty brown maple-like seed capsules. Good in cut flower arrangements. Full sun to part shade. Seacoast, wind, heat, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit, and gopher resistant.
