Dietes grandiflora

Dietes grandiflora (Fortnight Lily) - An evergreen rhizomatous perennial with long, upright narrow leaves that reach 4 feet tall. The flowers rise above the foliage and have white petals and petal like structures, called style branches, that are violet colored. Flowers year round with each individual flower lasting only a few days. Very drought tolerant in shade or grown in full sun with occasional irrigation It is a good container plant, good in mass plantings or as a solitary accent.
