Harebell, Flax lily: Rhizomatic evergreen. Bamboo like perennial to 4'-6' tall and 2'-4' wide. Low water needs, Part sun to part shade. Tough and fast growing in shade, with a tropical appearance and attractive panicles of glossy looking deep purple berries. It has upright cane-like stems with bamboo like leaves. Small, insignificant flowers. Deer resistant. Low water needs.
