Tufted Hairgrass: CA native clumping bunchgrass 6-12" tall and wide. Common to coastal areas and mountain meadows. Neat, evergreen foliage with stiff blades and airy flower stalks 2-3' tall that start green and turn golden in the fall, creating a billowy, cloud-like effect. Full sun to part sun. Medium to high water. Great in containers Seaside, wind, clay, sand, bog and drought tolerant once established but will stay green longer with regular irrigation. Attracts birds and pollinators \. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
