Clarkia bottae

Punch Bowl Godetia, Botta's Clarkia, Botta's Fairy Fan, Hill Clarkia, Farewell-to-Spring: Southern CA native annual wildflower with spindly, waxy stems to 1' tall, and sparse narrow leaves. Has a delicate, cup-shaped flower in late spring to summer, with lavender or pinkish-purple petals with a white center. Good for containers or for cut flowers. Attracts hummingbirds, birds and pollinators. Full sun. Low water. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay, sand and drought tolerant once established. Deer and fire resistant. May reseed.
