European Grey Sedge, Berkeley Sedge: Clump-forming, versatile evergreen ornamental sedge 18-24" tall and wide that is useful as a ground cover under trees. Inconspicuous greenish flowers aging to brown. Attracts butterflies and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. This grass reseeds easily and is widely distributed. Often confused with CA native C. tumulicola which is very similar in form. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay, sand, bog, and drought tolerant, but stays greener longer with irrigation. Deer, rabbit and gopher resistant.
